What is Heritage?

Heritage refers to the tangible and intangible elements of a culture or society that are passed down from one generation to the next. These elements can include physical structures such as buildings, landmarks, and natural features, as well as intangible elements such as cultural traditions, customs, and practices. Heritage is an important aspect of human history and identity, as it helps to preserve the unique cultural and historical aspects of a society and allows future generations to understand and appreciate the past.

 Why is Heritage Important?

There are many reasons why heritage is important, both for individuals and for society as a whole. Some of the most significant benefits of preserving heritage include:

 Challenges to Heritage Preservation

Despite the many benefits of preserving heritage, there are also a number of challenges that can make it difficult to protect and maintain these sites and traditions.

Funding: Heritage sites and traditions often require significant resources to maintain and protect, and finding the necessary funding can be a challenge.
